Set on a planet covered by a mysterious substance called Scub Coral, Eureka Seven introduced viewers to an environment filled with invisible energy particles known as Trapar waves. The protagonist, Renton Thurston, is a 14-year-old boy living in the remote town of Bellforest. His life takes a dramatic turn when he meets the enigmatic Eureka, a girl who pilots the humanoid mecha Nirvash. Renton joins the anti-government group Gekkostate, embarking on thrilling adventures, experiencing personal growth, and uncovering the world’s hidden secrets.
Produced by Studio BONES, Eureka Seven originally aired from 2005 to 2006, spanning 50 episodes. The series benefited from the expertise of major talents, including Dai Sato (Cowboy Bebop), who handled the series composition. Character designs were crafted by Kenichi Yoshida (Princess Mononoke), while legendary mecha designer Shoji Kawamori (Macross) was responsible for the series’ distinctive mechanical creations.
