DC Is Clapping Back at One of Marvel’s Biggest Tropes With a Superhero Fusion

WARNING: Contains Potential Spoilers for TITANS #21!

Marvel is filled to the brim with psychic characters, from Emma Frost to Professor X, Jean Grey, and more, many of whom are some of the most powerful figures in the Marvel Universe. However, it seems DC is ready to join the ranks of overpowered psychics, as the publisher has officially combined its two most powerful psychic characters into one incredibly overpowered being.

Those following John Layman and Pete Woods’ Titans run know that the last issue ended with Psycho-Pirate infiltrating the Titans, preparing to attack Raven and manipulate her emotions and powers to aid in his and Deathstroke’s larger plan to dismantle both the Titans and the Justice League.

Titans #21 sees Psycho-Pirate put his plan into motion, infiltrating Raven’s unstable mind and taking control as the two essentially merge into one. Given that both Raven and Psycho-Pirate are two of DC’s most powerful psychics, this merge creates a psychic threat of epic proportions.
