Choose Strong Pokémon In Designated Roles
Choosing three different Dynamax counters on a team will give you the best odds for defeating Dynamax Caterpie quickly. You and anyone else on your team should assign roles to every Pokémon you bring into the fight, with each either attacking, defending, or supporting your group throughout the fight. For example, having one support-oriented Dynamax Pokémon charge their Max Meter for Max Spirit allows them to heal and stay in the fight.
The type of Fast Attacks your Pokémon use will help build their Max Meter. When a Dynamax Pokémon’s Max Meter is filled, you can use a Max Attack for big damage, a Max Guard to create a protective shield, or Max Spirit to restore some health.
Unlike many of the raid battles in Pokémon GO, you need to consider how each Dynamax Pokémon you bring changes once they reach their Max forms.
