It’s Official: The Avengers Are Teaming Up With Marvel’s Darkest Villains
The Masters of Evil Join Forces with The Avengers to Fight Doctor Doom
Doctor Doom has backed the Avengers into a corner, leaving them with no better option than siding with the villains they typically fight against. Many variations of the Masters of Evil have appeared over the years, and this specific line-up offers the Avengers valuable support in their upcoming battle against Doctor Doom. It consists of Madelyne Pryor, also known as the Goblin Queen, as well as two of Spider-Man’s enemies, Doctor Octopus and Mysterio. MODOK, Arcade, and Baron Mordo round out this roster of formidable foes, and they all possess impressive skills that can help the Avengers rather than hinder them like they typically would.

The Goblin Queen, for example, can unleash mystical abilities that could rival Doom’s, as can Baron Mordo due to his experience with studying magic extensively. Meanwhile, MODOK is much better to have as an ally than an enemy, since he harbors immense intellect despite his comparative lack of empathy. As for Doctor Octopus, his robotic arms can prove to be an asset in a fight if he gets surrounded by Doombots, whereas Mysterio’s illusions will be useful in combating Doctor Doom’s Sorcerer Supreme magic. Lastly, Arcade is proficient with crafting clever traps via Murderworld, which could assist the Avengers.

Doctor Doom Will Push Heroes and Villains Alike to Their Limits
These villains may not be the only ones that are being recruited by the Avengers, seeing as they’ll need all the help they can get if they want to take the world back from Doctor Doom. The fact that it will take heroes and villains combined to reach Doom’s level cements him as a threat unlike any other. His rule over the world limits people’s freedom, spurring the heroes into action, while also preventing villains from enacting their own plots and thus setting them off as well. For once, the Avengers and their rivals have a common enemy that’s inspired them to work together against the odds.
