After Watching The Bachelor Season 29 Fantasy Suites Episode, I’m Convinced Grant Ellis Is Single (There Is No Way He Ends Up With Reality Steve’s Final Pick)

WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT THE BACHELOR SEASON 29!
Grant Ellis has struggled as the lead of ABC’s The Bachelor season 29, and despite all the spoilers, I’m sure he ends up single. Grant’s season contained a lot of drama, which may have been fun for the audience but hindered Grant’s journey. While The Bachelor season 29 cast is partially to blame for the drama, Grant didn’t do himself many favors.
Grant often refused to take accountability for his actions throughout the season, especially when there was drama between Carolina Sofia Quixano and Rose Sombke that he caused. He also confused audiences when he kept Zoe McGrady over women he had spent far more time with. Bachelor Nation blogger Reality Steve posted spoilers that Grant leaves the season engaged, but I’d be surprised if any of Grant’s relationships survive.
Grant’s Season Was Full Of Drama
Was He Too Distracted To Fall In Love?
Grant’s season of The Bachelor had not one but two villains who were the subject of much drama throughout the season. The Bachelor’s Zoe McGrady put a sour taste in the other women’s mouths early on when she stole Grant away during a group date. Later, Carolina’s lack of gratitude after her one-on-one date angered the other women and ultimately harmed her relationship with Grant, even though Carolina’s concerns were valid.
The plethora of drama meant Grant had less time to develop connections with the cast. The women often used their one-on-one time with the lead to discuss the drama Grant couldn’t see. While Grant made a point of being open and vulnerable with his connections, the show is already on an accelerated timeline.
Grant didn’t have enough time to find the right person for him or to truly fall in love.
Grant’s final two women both stayed away from the drama of the season, mostly. Juliana Pasquarosa pulled Carolina aside during a cocktail party to confront her about her negativity. Beyond that, however, Juliana and Litia Garr remained remarkably drama-free compared to their cast mates. However, their fantasy suite dates both felt like job interviews rather than dates. There was a lack of chemistry the whole episode, and I struggle to believe Grant ends up in either of these relationships.
Reality Steve Has Been Wrong Before
Is He Wrong Again?
Reality Steve reported Grant proposed to Juliana, and she accepted. However, during Joey Graziadei’s season, Reality Steve reported that Daisy Kent walked away engaged when Kelsey Anderson was the true winner of The Bachelor season 28. Spoilers are hard to come by and there’s a lot of room for error, so it’s not surprising that some spoilers miss the mark. That’s why I’m not holding my breath for a Grant-and-Juliana engagement.
The Bachelor Has A Low Success Rate
Will Grant Break The Curse?
Even if Grant and Juliana do walk away from season 29 engaged, I’d be surprised if they stay together. The Bachelor has a notoriously low success rate. While couples usually walk away from the show engaged, it’s rare to see them get married. Sometimes, the lead will even dump his fiancé and get back together with a different cast member, as was the case with Arie Luyendek’s messy season. Other times, the relationship simply doesn’t work out, and the two part ways.

If Reality Steve is right and Grant does propose to Juliana, I’ll be interested to see if they’re still together once the show has finished airing. Grant was a sweet guy, but his season of The Bachelor left much to be desired. While I hope I’m wrong, my guess is Grant ends up single.
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC
