Stardew Valley Player Celebrates Endgame After 3 Years Of Only Selling Mayonnaise

A farm-savvy Stardew Valley player celebrated the end of their game after purchasing the Golden Clock by selling nothing but mayonnaise for three in-game years. In Stardew, players can create mayo with a Mayonnaise Machine and an egg of any size, including Void Eggs. Each jar of mayonnaise can be sold for 190 Gold, and takes three hours to produce.

Stardew player MysticMarbles took to Reddit to share their incredible feat, providing a screenshot of their town square and Golden Clock as proof. All in all, the Stardew Valley fan had to sell 54,000 jars of mayo to finance their farm and they even managed to acquire the Golden Clock by doing so, a feat which many consider to be one of the toughest challenges due to its high price tag of 10,000,000 Gold.

Though clearly proud of their achievements, MysticMarbles said they’d “never, ever” play Stardew with a Mayonnaise-exclusive economy in the future. They said: “It turned into a chore less than halfway through the playthrough. I was nearly 100 hours deep and so, so much of that time was spent running in loops around mayo machines.”

How This Player Achieved Their Mayo-Only Run

MysticMarbles was quick to share how they managed their mayo-only run. The player detailed their journey in the comments, sharing that they started with Meadowland farm, purchased between four and five thousand bales of hay at a time, and built and upgraded thirteen chicken coops. They also purchased materials rather than foraging for them to save time.

Focusing on one crop and reaching endgame by Year Three is an incredible feat, one applauded by other Stardew Valley players in the post’s comment section. Some shared that they attempted their own single crop runs only to quit, fail, or slip up thanks to the extreme drain on their farm’s resources. Others decided to try their own luck at a mayo farm, encouraged by MysticMarbles’ success.

MysticMarbles estimates that their total mayo earnings were around 30 million Gold, though the purchase of 450 Mayonnaise Machines, hay bales, and coop building supplies ate into their profit.
