All Yamashiro Jizo Statue Locations

If you are looking to hunt down all the Jizo Statues in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you will need to get all six in Yamashiro. Yamashiro is still a fairly early part of the game, and having some extra experience early on is a useful thing to have. It’s also about when you will be able to play as Yasuke, which adds another dynamic to how you collect them.

Getting to play as Yasuke in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a very important part of the story, and you will be spending a fair amount of time in Yamashiro after you have reconnected with Yasuke as you begin to collect information about the rest of your targets. This allows you to explore and unlock a lot of the map.

Find All Six Jizo Statues In This Region

There are six total Jizo Statues that you can find in Yamashiro. The trickiest part for this collectible is just being able to navigate the map in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. There are many things to keep in mind, and the terrain is a little more difficult to navigate. The biggest problem I encountered was having to travel through Kyoto, as it forces you to slow down since you can’t gallop through it, and it takes up a large section of Yamashiro.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Bypasses AC Origins’ Peak Player Count On Steam, Closing In On Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has officially launched as of March 20, and its early player numbers have already bested those of Assassin’s Creed Origins.

If you have already unlocked many of the Synchronization Points, it will make it much easier. If not, however, I definitely think you should use Naoe the most to collect the Jizo Statues because she can move on foot faster through Kyoto, and there are a lot of Synchronization Points that Yasuke can’t climb as easily.

Shoryuji Jizo Statue

Map Location of Shoryuji Jizo Statue in Assassin's Creed Shadows

This is the easiest one to come across as it is closest to Kyoto, and you will basically run into it when you first get sent to Yamashiro for the main quest. However, if you missed it, use the Shoryjui Tenshu Synchronization Point or the Oyamazaki Kakurega to get there. You could also use the more southern Synchronization Point in Kyoto.

Eagle’s Nest Jizo Statue

Map location of Arashiyama Jizo Statue in Assassin's Creed Shadows

While it is technically Eagle’s Point, this one is close to Arashiyama. There’s a Synchronization Point to the north at Arashiyama Cascades, but no matter what, this one will ask you to traverse quite a distance.

When it comes to Jizo Statues like this one, you can make things easier by placing a marker on the map close to where you can see it in the screenshot. Then, stop tracking any quests you have and turn on Pathfinder mode when you return to the game. It will take you along the road close to that marker, and even if you are off in your guess, you should be along the right road.

This is the one farthest to the west, but there are another two to the north, so I would swing from the last Jizo Statue to the west, travel north, and hit all three in a row.

Genbu Highlands Jizo Statue #1

Map location of Genbu Highlands Jizo Statue #1 in Assassin's Creed Shadows

This is the more southern Jizo Statue in the Genbu Highlands, and it is very easy to get to from the last Jizo Statue near Arashiyama. There’s a road that goes nearly directly between them, which will make your life a little easier. I was very relieved not to have to go through Kyoto again, and you get a nice ride through the realistic countryside of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Genbu Highlands Jizo Statue #2

Map location of Genbu Highlands #2 Jizo Statue in Assassin's Creed Shadows

This one is the Jizo Statue that is the furthest north in Yamashiro, and you should be able to get to it fairly quickly from the north of Kyoto. That would either be the Shokokuji Pagoda or the Northern Kyoto Kakurega.

There are many Kofun locations found around the massive world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, each with its own unique legendary weapon as a reward.

You could also come to it from the very north, as there is a fast-travel point at Kuramadera Pagoda, but I think it’s easier to get there from the south.

Hills of Meeting Jizo Statue

The Hills of Meeting Jizo Statue is on the eastern side of Yamashiro, and I came at it from the south where the Kiyomizudera Pagoda is. That Pagoda is also near where you can get a monkey for your Hideout, so it’s worth stopping by. However, there is a Pagoda of the Hills Synchronization Point, but you are likely to pass the statue on the way to that landmark.

Little Leaf Glade Jizo Statue

The final Jizo Statue in Yamashiro is actually off in a little section that doesn’t look like it’s part of the region at first. Little Leaf Glade is between Yamato, Izumi Settsu, and Omi, yet is considered part of Yamashiro. I’d recommend traveling along the river through Uji Tawara, which does have a Kakurega. On the other side of the town, look to your right for a path into the woods and follow it around to the last Jizo Statue in Yamashiro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
