Saw XI has officially been removed from the Lionsgate release calendar. Following the critical and commercial triumph of Saw X in 2023, it didn’t take long for Saw XI to get the green light. The eleventh installment in the horror franchise was originally slated for September 27, 2024, but its release was pushed back a whole year to September 26, 2025. The latest update follows rumors of the horror film’s purported cancelation after infighting among producers halted production in early 2024.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Saw XI has been cut from Lionsgate’s theatrical release, with The Strangers: Chapter 2 taking over the film’s initial release date.
